White Cement Polymer Modified Wall Putty

Description

Xtra White Wall Putty is a white cement based polymer modified powder that provides an ideal base for concrete and cement plastered walls and ceilings.

It gives smooth, durable and beautiful walls and provides an excellent surface for the application of all kinds of paints. It can also be used as a base coat before painting.

Surface Preparation

Clean loose particles, dirt, grease and foreign materials from the surface using sandpaper or chipping if required.
Remove defective plaster from loose areas and re-plaster using MaxxPlast Ready-Mix Plaster.
Uneven ceilings or walls should be re-plastered with Ready-Mix Plaster before applying putty.

Mixing

Take 300–400 ml of clean water for 1 kg of Xtra White Wall Putty in a clean bucket.
Always add Wall Putty into water, not water into putty.
Stir continuously using an electric mixer or manually until a homogeneous, lump-free paste is obtained.
Allow the paste to stand for 10 minutes for the additives to dissolve.
Remix for 2 minutes before use.
Use the prepared mix within 30 minutes.

Application

Suitable for interior and exterior plastered surfaces, asbestos sheets and Mivan plaster.
Apply the first coat uniformly on the moistened surface from bottom to top using a putty blade.
After the first coat dries, gently rub the surface with a wet sponge and remove loose particles.
Allow the surface to dry for at least 5 hours, then apply the second coat.
Leave the surface to dry completely, preferably 10–12 hours overnight.
After mixing with water, use the material within 2–3 hours.
Total thickness of both coats should not exceed 1.5 mm.
Before painting, smooth the surface using 600 grit or finer sandpaper.

Coverage

Store Xtra White Wall Putty in a dry place.

Shelf Life: 6 months from the date of manufacturing.

Precautions

Xtra White Wall Putty contains eco-friendly fillers and additives.
Being white cement based, it is alkaline; avoid direct contact with eyes and skin.
In case of eye contact, flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Keep out of reach of children.
Although non-toxic, avoid inhaling dust during mixing and handling.
In case of contact with eyes or mouth, wash thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
Persons allergic to cement or cement products should take appropriate precautions before use.
