All Rounder Polymer Modified Tile Adhesive (C2TE / T3T)

Description

MASTER STA 525 is a highly polymer modified tile adhesive specially formulated for the installation of large format vitrified tiles, porcelain, glass mosaic, marble, granite and natural stone with low water absorption rate for both vertical and horizontal application on internal as well as external use.

Features and Benefits

Ready to use, only need water for mixing.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
High strength, polymer modified.
Long open time.
Useful for bed thickness of 3 to 12 mm. May go up to 15 mm in limited extent.
No curing and hacking required on substrates.
Complies to EN / ISO C2TE standards.
Exceeds IS 15477:2019 – Type 3T Adhesive standards.

Recommended Substrates

Concrete Surface.
Cement Plaster or Screed.
Ceramic, Vitrified, Porcelain, Natural Stone, Granite.
Brick Masonry.
Underwater applications like swimming pools & fountains.
External top terrace.

Limitations

Do not use on wet screed or plaster. Surface must be fully cured.
Can only be used on cementitious waterproofing. Do not use on epoxy or polyurethane waterproofing.
Do not use for installing glass tiles or metal tiles.
Do not use on metal, rubber, plastics, vinyl, linoleum surfaces or painted substrates.

Application Methodology

Surface Preparation

Surface should be sound and clean, free from oil, grease and dirt.
Ensure the surface is level.
Wet the surface before application.

Mixing

Add three parts MASTER STA 525 powder to one part water.
Always add powder into water.
Mix manually or with a low-speed stirrer for 5–10 minutes until lump-free.
Leave the mix for 5 minutes before use.
Use within 90 minutes.
Do not add extra water, cement or sand.

Application

Apply adhesive using a notched trowel.
Fix tiles within 30 minutes.
Back butter tiles larger than 12" × 12".
Ensure complete adhesive coverage and remove air voids.
Replace adhesive if it has skinned over.
Use spacers between tiles.
