Description

Master PUA 555 is a two-part modified polyurethane multipurpose adhesive for fixing all types of tiles and stones on a variety of substrates in interior and exterior areas on walls or floors. It is suitable for various dry wall substrates including metal.

Suitable for tile and stone cladding on high-rise buildings.
High bond strength and chemical resistance.
Bonds to wood, metals, rubber, linoleum, epoxy and PU-based substrates.
Suitable for installing tiles and stones on glass surfaces.
Heat resistant and flexible.
Water, freezing and thermal shock resistant.
Non-sag and non-shrink.

Application Methodology

Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean, dry and free from dirt, grease, oil and contaminants.
Substrate must be compact, dry and free from rising dampness.
Ensure the substrate is strong enough to support the weight of tiles or stones.

Mixing

Add Part B to Part A.
Mix using a slow-speed drill and paddle until a uniform coloured paste is obtained.
Allow the mixture to stand for 2–3 minutes and remix before use.
Mix to a consistency suitable for application with a notched trowel.

Application

Apply adhesive using a suitable notched trowel.
Spread only the quantity that can be tiled within the working time.
Position and adjust tiles properly.
Do not apply below 12°C or above 40°C.
Do not use on substrates with rising moisture or moisture content above 4%.
Back butter large-format tiles for full support.
Use a beating block or rubber mallet to fix and level tiles.

Spacer

Use Maxx Spacer for uniform joint width.

Cleaning

Clean tools and containers with suitable industrial solvents while adhesive is fresh. Hardened adhesive should be removed mechanically.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in normal dry conditions. Shelf life is 12 months.

Precaution

Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective clothing, gloves and eye protection. Wash skin with clean water after contact. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
